Abstract:

Cheiracanthium mildei is a yellow sac spider newly recorded from Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Originally from southern Europe, this species is obviously expanding northwards in Germany. The spider is sometimes found in houses, its bite can be painful, but is harmless.
