This means that publications that did not originate when the authors belonged to the
University of Duisburg-Essen are also included, if desired.

The publication guidelines provide information on publishing for the entire University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) and the University Hospital Essen (UK-Essen). In particular, the correct indication of the institutional affiliation of authors is crucial in order to assign publications to institutions and thus to find them in large databases, such as Scopus or Web of Science, as associated publications. The spelling of the name is also relevant - the use of a Researcher Contributor Identification (ORCID) is recommended for the clear identification of persons.
... such as Scopus and Web of Science , which record interdisciplinary publications, are searched daily for new publications by UDE members via interfaces. This data is automatically imported into the University Bibliography and checked by our editorial team, corrected if necessary, linked to the LSF personal IDs and finally released.
... receives an e-mail for each newly registered publication and then checks the data for completeness, adds any missing information, links the authors to the LSF-IDs and activates the entries. Afterwards, the publications can be found in the University Bibliography and automatically appear in the publication lists on the UDE personal pages as well as in the publication lists that you integrate from the University Bibliography into your personal web pages.

every effort to identify these IDs and supplement them if this information is missing.
