Abstract:
Increasing demands on modern traffic an logistics technologies in the 21st century is leading to more and more sophisticated transportation systems. The development of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV´s) can therfore be seen as a starting point for an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Control systems for autonomous convoy driving must be developed and testet within a complex anviroment that allows for rapid modification. A possible solution is the use of scaled vehicles for the prototyping process. This paper presents a unique test facility for vehicle control experiments for the project DAVINCI (Design of ab Automated INtegrated Control Instrument).
