Abstract:

The electronic stability program (ESP) is a driving dynamical control system that is used to support a driver in critical driving situations. A basic component integrated in the ESP system is an on-line sensor monitoring system that is used for detecting faults in sensors as early as possible to prevent a fail control. Objective of this paper is to present a model-based sensor monitoring scheme for the ESP system that is developed and produced in series by the company Continental Teves.
