Abstract:

Summary: Information technology offers a high potential in achieving the climate protection goals by encouraging the reduction of energy consumption associated with a decrease of greenhouse gas emissions. This article shows how processes in logistics can be optimized by means of information technology. Using the example of SmartKanban, the additional energy consumption caused by information technology is compared to achievable potential energy savings. → Zusammenfassung: Die Informationstechnologie bietet im Hinblick auf die Erreichung der Klimaschutzziele ein großes Potenzial durch die Unterstützung von Energie-einsparungen und somit einer Verringerung der Produktion von Treibhausgasen. In diesem Artikel wird dargestellt, wie im Bereich der Logistik Prozesse durch die Informations-technologie effizienter gestaltet werden können. Am Beispiel der SmartKanban Lösung werden die zusätzlichen Energieaufwände durch die Informationstechnologie möglichen Einsparungen gegenübergestellt,
