Abstract:

This paper surveys the current situation of industrial applications of process monitoring and fault diagnosis (FD). At first, opportunities and challenges faced by advanced FD in industrial applications are discussed. Then, the state of the art of advanced FD applications is reviewed. Finally, some ideas and speculations on future developments of process monitoring and fault diagnosis for large-scale industrial applications are given.
